On Tuesday April 30th 2019, the North Carolina Medical Society featured the NC LSR in their quarterly magazine. The article discusses how Louise Henderson’s idea for the registry originated as well as how the registry has progressed in receiving funding, expanding to new sites, and enrolling patients. In addition, the article discusses two model lung cancer screening clinics, the UNC Lung Cancer Screening Clinic, run by Dr. M. Patricia Rivera, and the CarolinaEast Internal Medicine lung cancer screening program, run by Donna Russell and Shevel Hunt.
