American Thoracic Society Conference 2019
From May 17 – 22nd, Louise Henderson attended the 2019 American Thoracic Society Conference in Dallas, Texas. The American Thoracic Society is an organization of physicians, research scientists, and other allied health professionals who seek to improve health worldwide by advancing research, clinical care, and public health in respiratory disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders. At the conference, Henderson presented on the preliminary characteristics and findings from patients in the North Carolina Lung Cancer Screening Registry. The purpose of the presentation was to compare differences between the patients included in the National Lung Screening Trial and the patients in the general population who are screened for lung cancer.
